My Fashionable Christmas List

It is the time of the year again to start thinking about what gifts to buy.

Whether you are searching for the right gift to give that fashion forward person in your life, or you are that fashionista seeking to create your own trend setting Christmas wish list, here are a few must-have ideas for this season.

1. Homemade

Believe it or not homemade has become fashionable again. A cute pair of hand-knitted gloves, or an infinity scarf paired with any winter pea coat creates an amazing and unique look.

If you really crave that winter feel pair this look with boot socks or boot cuffs.

2. Scarves

Wearing a scarf completes just about any look, not just limited to wintertime apparel.

Scarves have so many different prints, patterns, and fabric features that will fit almost anyone’s style.  When shopping for someone else you can never go wrong with a scarf.

3. Hunter

Now that you have these homemade boot socks and cuffs, you should have a nice pair of boots to pair them with. Hunter makes the sleekest design for boots that withstand harsh conditions and keep your feet toasty. There are a variety of colors for those who want to stand out, to those who want to blend in.

4. Pea Coats

Throw a pea coat on your list, you can never have too many! They work well in unseasonably cold days, keeping you warm and fashionable.

They can come in just about any color and print imaginable. If you’re shopping for someone else, be sure to keep their preferences and style in mind.

5. Snow Boots

We live in New England, so a pair of snow boots that keep our feet warm as we shovel out ten feet of snow is essential. But who says you can’t look good doing it?

Sorel, L.L. Bean, and North face, have come up with industrial snow boots that do just that.

6. Makeup kits

For the fashionista in your life who is notoriously difficult to buy for, you can never go wrong with makeup kits. If they wear makeup chances are they are going to be running low.

Sephora has some great cosmetics she will love to see under the tree.

7. Slippers

Not only are we freezing outside but we get cold inside too. Having an attractive pair of UGG’s slippers or moccasins looks stylish and keeps us snug along with the hot coco.

8. Designer Handbags

If all else fails, get a designer handbag.

One can never have too many bags, they make the perfect accessory to any outfit. Again, if you’re buying for someone else, keep their style in mind. But I guarantee they will be overjoyed to see that all wrapped up in a big bow.

9. Jewelry

Jewelry completes any look.

Adding a pop of color or just a bit of shimmer goes a long way in fashion. Whether that means costume or designer jewelry, adding that finishing touch pushes a garment over the edge.

Check out Kate Spade’s new bracelet watch that is sure to catch the eye of friends and family.

10. Nail Polish

For holiday shoppers on a budget, nail polish can be a great option for an inexpensive gift. Dress your nails up or down depending on your own personal style.

Just like with jewelry, nail polish adds a pop of shine or color to a look. Throw in a top coat for good measure.

That’s everything on my list this year. Let me know if I left anything out, or if you would like to add something, in comments bellow. Happy Holidays everyone!
